Motocross is a professional sport that involves high powered off-road motorcycles. Each race has up to 40 riders, who battle against each other to get to the chequered flag first. And they do this around an off-road circuit with many tight turns and treacherous jumps.

Races are between 10 minutes for club level or Supercross events, and 40 minutes in the highest level Grand prix competitions. Normal races include 3 events per day for each competitor.

Motocross isn’t your typical home counties sport. It’s dirtier and more dangerous than most ‘traditional’ sports. It’s all about the adrenalin.

But don’t be fooled. Not only does Motocross take passion and daring, it also needs oodles of perseverance and skill. Motocross is a very physical sport but it also takes exceptional mental strength. To be a strong competitor, a rider must be finely tuned and doggedly determined.

He trains 3 times a day (no prompting required) and unlike many other Motocross riders he balanced riding with school, so he could complete his G.C.S.Es before turning professional. Luke has already had many regular appearances in trade magazines and even modelled for the 2007 and 2008 Kawasaki dealers brochure on the KX65cc and KX85cc bikes.

We also regularly upload footage onto YouTube in conjunction with Chilli Technologies Ltd. who have been helpful with Helmet and other camera footage.
